About Tharu Community lodge
Who we are?

Located amidst the plains of the terai region, Tharu Community Lodge is a community owned and operated Eco-Friendly Sustainable lodge offering immersive experiences.
Founded in 2019, Tharu Community Lodge has been a labor of love, weathering the challenges of the unprecedented times in 2020. As a community-owned and operated eco-friendly establishment, we take pride in offering travelers more than just a place to stay – we provide an authentic and immersive experience deeply rooted in the rich cultural tapestry of the Tharu community along with the Jungle activities in the Community Forest aswell as the Chitwan National Park.
We are a team entirely composed of local individuals, with all our founding members and staff originating from the region. Currently we are a team of 18 individuals at the Tharu Community Lodge.
